Potato tartlets with herring

Ahead of us waiting for a series of New Year holidays on which any hostess wants to shine in front of their families or guests new dish is not only delicious, but also beautifully designed.
Recipe, which I can replace the classic, almost everyone's favorite salad "Herring under a fur coat." The set includes almost all of the ingredients, only served it all in a compact, beautiful and unusual shape.
In my opinion, a great option snacks.

To prepare the potato tartlets with herring, we need:


- Potatoes - 3 pcs.
- Beet - 1 pc.
- Salted herring - 1 pc.
- Onions - 1 onion
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Mayonnaise
- Salt

Method of preparation:

My potatoes under running water. Boil in a "uniform" to readiness.
Beets and boil until cooked.
Salted herring
cleaned from entrails, remove the skin and take out the seeds.
Prepared fillet cut into strips 1.5 cm thick.
Onions cleaned, cut into thin half-rings.
To bow was not bitter and harsh, zamarinuem it for several minutes.
In a deep tank breed vinegar, sugar, water. Pour this liquid into the onion, mix. Left at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Cooked vegetables cleared. Beet rubbed on a fine grater.
Merge the separated beet juice. Adding salt to taste and mayonnaise. Stir.
Potatoes cut into slices 1 cm thick.
Each circle potato spread with mayonnaise beets about 1 - 2 tsp Top - a piece of herring. Since I was a herring roe, then I also put it on sandwiches.
We decorate our pickled onion tartlets.
