Pesto Sauce

Yesterday I was lucky: while shopping in the grocery store, I saw a fresh green basil. And of course, could not resist the purchase. A decision about where to apply it, it occurred immediately: course in pesto sauce! Since this is one of my favorite Italian sauces.
I will not say that it is prepared for this recipe is a real and most correct Pesto. But here's what he gets insanely delicious - it's a fact. There are many different variations of cooking, but always as part always remain basil, cheese and olive oil.



To prepare the pesto will need the following ingredients:
green basil - 1 pot
Parmesan cheese - about ¼ cup grated in the form
Garlic - 1 clove
Olive oil - 75 ml
pine nuts - 1 tablespoon
salt and pepper - to taste
melted butter - 1 teaspoon


Also need to prepare the sauce blender. And if you do not have in the kitchen, but there is a mortar and pestle, then it's even better. After all, in this way pesto traditionally prepared in Italy. Hence its name, as in Italian «pestare» means "to rub, crush, trample."
Basil - plant is very good for health. It stimulates appetite, improves digestion and strengthens the immune system. And also it has bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore doubt the usefulness of this sauce is not even necessary. Yes, and all the other ingredients of basil in the not far behind.
We use fresh basil, so it retains all the most useful. We just my basil, shred the leaves (you can just break your hands) and send in a blender.

Just before serving add the sauce to the melted butter.
More often than not I submit this sauce with pasta. The sauce is usually enough for 3-4 servings. If each serving sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, it will be even tastier.
If the sauce is not able to be used immediately, it can be stored in a cool place. But every time you need to mix before use, as the top will stand out oil.
