Christmas cake Herringbone

New Year celebration is over, but does not leave a good mood. Becomes particularly pleased when I look at pictures of this New Year's cake, I feel the smell of pine needles and tangerine. This time I decided to cook a cake theme for the New Year as a tree. Everyone really enjoyed not only the appearance but also its delicate flavor.
I want to share with you an interesting recipe that you can prepare this dessert for the next New Year or Christmas.

To prepare the Christmas cake you need the following products:
- 5 eggs

- 10 tablespoons water
- 15 tablespoons sugar
- 13 tablespoons flour
- 2 tbsp starch
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

To prepare the custard need the following products:
- 600 ml of milk
- 1 tablespoon starch riding
- 5 tbsp flour riding
- 150 g of powdered sugar
- 200 g butter
- Vanilla sugar
- 0.5 cans of canned pineapple

For impregnating the cake needs pineapple syrup (you can substitute sugar syrup).
Used for decoration candy M & M, strips of orange zest, chocolate bar or candy.
Eggs take chilled.
Add sugar.
Beat the egg mass in the lush lather using a mixer.
Gradually add water, not stopping beating.
Carefully pour the flour, which is mixed with baking powder and starch.
Bake 1 cake in a rectangular shape at 200 degrees until golden.
Cut the cake, as shown in the picture.
Impregnate the bottom cake pineapple syrup and leave to soak.
Meanwhile, prepare the custard. Mix 300 ml of milk with flour and starch. Another 300 ml of milk to boil send. Add to the boiling milk milk mixture with the flour, vanilla sugar and starch gradually and stirring constantly. Herewith mass to boil. It should thicken.
Milk cream covered with foil and send in the refrigerator to cool.
Beat butter at room temperature with powder. Gradually add the milk custard, who managed to cool to room temperature. Ready cream lubricates the bottom cake and sprinkle with his pineapple slices.
Cover the cake first two triangular shortcakes and grease custard. Send to soak in the refrigerator.
Before serving, decorate the cake with colored candy M & M, orange peel. Chocolate bar or candy will foot Christmas trees. The last photo of the cake differs from the first photo that at the last minute I decided to add the pineapple decoration.
You can still sprinkle coconut cake.
